Experience driving manufacturing and supply chain improvements at global industrial companies supports Fluence’s global growth strategy and lower total cost of ownership for customers.

Arlington, Va. – May 20, 2021 – Fluence, a Siemens and AES company, today announced that Carol Couch will join the company as vice president of operations support & services to lead Fluence’s strategic development of manufacturing and supply chain expansion for the global utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage markets. Couch joins the company after a year of significant growth, which included launching Fluence’s sixth-generation technology, the acquisition of AMS, announcing a committed investment from the Qatar Investment Authority and collaborating on a technology co-development agreement with European battery manufacturer Northvolt.

Couch brings 25 years of leadership experience in manufacturing and supply chain optimization, working with many of the world’s largest contract manufacturers and suppliers to drive the best total cost of ownership throughout the value chain. Before joining Fluence, Couch was VP of supply chain operations at Itron, where she digitized the company’s supply chain and implemented machine learning methodologies to improve efficiency and predictability. Prior to Itron, she was COO and member of the board of directors at DataLogic. Before that, Couch served as vice president of Hewlett Packard’s EG AMS manufacturing and supply chain operations, vice president of global supply chain & order fulfillment operations at Intermec Technologies, and senior vice president of worldwide operations at Plasmon, Inc. Couch holds a dual BSc in information management and finance with a minor in psychology and an MBA in supply chain, manufacturing, and operations management from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
